To go with my basic butter cake.

Directions

  1. Place sugar, milk and butter in a small saucepan. Cook stirring constantly over low heat until sugar dissolves,.
  2. Bring to boil and boil 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool until just warm.
  3. Beat in icing sugar until spreadable.

A really easy "storecupboard" frosting. Goes well with a pear cake.
