These were amazing, tender, crispy waffles, I used buttermilk, and added vanilla, sooooo good! Thanks for sharing it!

I was looking for a waffle recipe that didn't have 1/2 cup butter in it and tried this one. (I used a cup of real lowfat buttermilk rather than the milk and lemon substitute). This recipe nicely delivered. Although the "richness" of the butter is missing, with real maple syrup, you'll never miss the kabillion grams of saturated fat. Nice trade-off.
