- 2 1⁄2 cups apple cider
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 36 whole allspice berries
- 6 whole cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick, broken into small pieces
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 6 tablespoons dark rum
directions
- Boil first 6 ingredients in heavy small saucepan 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add butter and stir to melt.
- Strain into 2 warm mugs.
- Add half of rum to each.
