"I don't know where this got it's name! Haven't made it yet, but it sounds yummy. I bet you could sub. 1 T. of creme de menthe for the mint syrup."

  1. Wasn't sure about the combination of coffe, banana, mint and cinnamon. The frozen banana gave it an ice cream consistancy. I used peppermint schnaaps and I also thought the mint was a bit too prominant. Next time I think I would make without the mint and use a different flavoring like almond or vanilla. Mint and coffee just didn't do it for me, but the basic recipe is good.

  2. I didnt' make this yet, but plan to. I just wanted to share, after reading a review, that mint extract is quite concentrated. If you need to use an extract instead of the syrup, you would want to use just a couple of drops. You can always add more if you like, but as I learned the first time I used mint extract in my mocha, you cannot take it away!

  3. This was good but it had a really strong mint taste. I had to sub mint extract for the mint syrup so maybe that made a difference. I will make this again if I find mint syrup and update my review.

I am a Christian wife and mother of 3 kids. Since my DH's high cholesterol, we've been eating better. I never used to like cooking. Since eating better, I've liked learning and preparing new recipes. My kids haven't reconciled themselves to the new eating yet. I grind my own grain and make all my own breads.?Working 2 hours a day in the local high school lunch room.??I am homeschooling my high schooler.? ?Also found out 1 child has multiple food allergies (wheat, dairy, tomato, chocolate, etc) and another is gluten sensitive. So, we just started (July 09) eating gluten and dairy free. I've been busy with getting our house market ready, even though it's not the best time for that.?
