"From Cooks Illustrated magazine, made to accompany beef tenderloin cooked in the CI method. I selected this flavored butter because the chives had just come up, harbinger of spring. It would be good on anything that you like with blue cheese."

If you like blue cheese, this is for those that do! I LOVE blue and was it ever good over our steak! A little goes a long way and made the steak gourmet delicious. I can't wait to slather this butter over fresh hot bread too! Thank you, duonyte, for sharing!

This just explodes with flavor! I know this was designed to be served with meat, but we had it with biscuits, and it was just wonderful. I like the idea of serving it on potatoes, too. Thanks for posting!

My screen name is a diminutive in Lithuanian for bread, so you won't be suprised to learn that I love to bake bread. In recent years I have been baking a lot of sourdough breads and have several starters sitting in my refrigerator. But I like to cook a lot of other things, as well, especially from various cultures. The cat wishes I would concentrate on meat and fish... I joined a few years ago but started posting recipes and participating in forums just recently - I wish I had done so earlier.
