Blender Cleaner

"This is a fun and effective recipe from the Asian Age newspaper. This works very well. Enjoy!"

 

• Ready In: 2mins
• Ingredients: 2
• Yields: 1 blender cleaner

ingredients

• 1⁄4 cup liquid soap
• 1⁄2 cup warm water

directions

1. Pour both in the blender.
2. Cover it and run the blender for 3 minutes.
3. Wash under the tap for a sparkling clean blender.

Works well, next time I would put the water in first instead of the soap, it took a lot of rinsing to get it out again. I would also do it when I had a sink full of dishes to do and use the used suds to wash the dishes.

I used this to clean my new blender, taking tips from the reviewers and only using a few squirts of soap. I also upped the amount of water a bit and just let the blender run until it looked like it was about to overflow. It seemed much easier than what the blender's manual suggested for cleaning. I do not use as much soap so it is easier to rinse. But this method works Great and is so much easier!

Really does work... I don't think a full 1/4 cup of soap is necessary however... I just put in a couple of good squirts and let it run for a few minutes... Works wonders when you use your blender often... Thanks for sharing!
