- 1 1⁄2 cups cooked black beans
- 1 cup water
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- In a pot over medium heat, bring beans, water, salt and cumin to a boil. Transfer to a blender and puree until smooth.
- Return beans to stove and simmer for 20 minutes, until thick.
- Remove from heat. Add cilantro and mix to combine.
