Best Tomato-Basil Sandwich!!!

"MMM... Summer and heaven ( i mean bacon) on bread... what more could one ask for? This sandwich is almost a BLT, just not so much about the bacon as it is the tomato. I Usually serve on a nice Marble Rye, but its just as good on dark rye an everything bagel or plain ol' white bread."

  • Toast bread ( if desired).
  • spread both slices of bread with mayo,.
  • then sprinkle with bacon bits.
  • Layer half of tomato slices on on piece of bread.
  • Layer Basil leaves on top of tomato.
  • Layer rest of tomato on top of basil.
  • Place other piece of bread on top.
  • ENJOY!

  1. Tasty and different! I had this for my lunch today and loved the combination of bacon, basil and tomatoes! I used granary bread and home-made mayo, it was fresh and also quite filling! Made for Autumn PAC 2009 - and very much enjoyed thank you Darcy! FT:-)
