Another recipe from the no longer "Steph's Country Kitchen Goodness" website. My favorite toppings are brown mustard and sauerkraut.

  1. In a large saucepan combine beer, water, butter, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Add brats and bring to a boil, uncovered. Boil for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove brats and discard cooking liquid. Grill brats directly over med-high grill for 15 minutes turning frequently until hot through.
  3. Serve on buns with favorite toppings.
