Barbeque Brisket Rub

"This is just a basic spice rub but it has no sweetness I love to add brown sugar and maple syrup."

• Yields: 1/2 cup

ingredients

• 3 teaspoons chili powder
• 1 teaspoon dry mustard
• 3⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
• 2 teaspoons paprika
• 2 teaspoons black pepper

directions

1. Mix all the ingredients and rub generously on brisket, wrap in foil and refrigerate 3 days. Remove from foil and bake at 325-350 for about 2 1/2 hours.
