Got this from a woman who worked with me ages ago. The garlic gives it a nice bouquet and aroma.
- 1 cup olive oil
- 1⁄3 cup red wine vinegar or 1⁄3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 1 garlic clove, broken up
- 1 dash dill
- 1 dash lemon juice
- 1 dash oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- Whisk all ingredients together (garlic should be in a few chunky pieces).
- Let sit over night in a covered container in the refrigerator to get full flavor.
I made this dressing several days ago and everyone agreed that this should become our "house" dressing, since it was of restaurant quality and simple to prepare. I'm going to make another batch right now. Thank you for letting me borrow this recipe and make it a part of my family's traditions.
This is an excellent salad dressing. Quick to prepare and it enhansed my greens tremendously. Glad you posted this Oolala
