A Hug and a Kiss

"I found this recipe on the web. It's a treat kids of all ages enjoy. Bag sizes for ingredients don't matter......enjoy any leftovers. : ) Makes a great 'teachers gift'."

• Ingredients: 3
• Yields: 1 batch

ingredients

• 1 bag round pretzel (the hug)
• 1 bag Hershey chocolate kiss (the kiss)
• 1 bag M&M's plain chocolate candy

directions

1. Place the pretzels on a baking sheet or microwaveable dish.
2. Pur one unwrapped kiss in the middle of each pretzel.
3. Place in a 350 degree oven for 4 minutes (or microwave for 20 seconds) to soften (almost melt) the kisses.
4. Remove from the oven and immediately push an M& M down on the top of the kiss to flatten it.
5. Let cool.

These are fun and easy I couldn't fine hugs so I bought caremel, peanutbutter, and mint kisses. The caramel was not a good idea. The caramel oozed out all over and the mint didn't melt very well The peanutbutter did work really well though.

I love this recipe. I use the hugs kisses, the ones with white and milk chocolate and the red and green M & M's, makes for easy Christmas cookies. They are much easier than dipping pretzels in white chocolate and taste just like them! I also tried the caramel ones and put pecan halves on top. These worked ok at 170 degrees for 4 minutes (I was using a different recipe). Seems there are no two recipes alike when it comes to these. The peanut butter ones sound fabulous, I will have to try those next!

I had these before but never made them. Very addicting! These are so simple I can make them with my daughters. Thanks for sharing. mbj
