Garlic Potatoes

"I came up with this incredibly simple potato recipe today, when my 7 year old son asked me to cook him "some potaoes in the oven, with some garlic on them" for lunch. The 2 kids devoured them, and gave them 5 stars!"

  1. Absolutely delicious as per recipe but scaled up for 3 and totally devoured. For my oven 200C convential took 1 hour in total and for the last 15 minutes cranked it up to 225C - though my potatoes may have been a little larger than specified but were beautifully crispy on the outside and pillows of fluff on the inside with a nice garlic flavour. Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you Sara 76 for a great recipe, made for ZAAR Chef Alphabet Soup.

I'm married, I have 2 kids (both boys), and I live in Australia. I have loved cooking for as long as I can remember, and have become completely addicted to browsing through Zaar looking for new recipes! I have a small animal shelter for rabbits and guinea pigs, and spend most of my time looking after kids or critters!. My favourite cookbooks are The Essential Pasta Cookbook, The Central Cookery Book, Flo Bjielkie-Peterson's Country Cookbook, and Greek Cooking (I bought that one in Greece, and it's FANTASTIC). At the minute, we are getting ready to move, which is forcing me to sort through my recipe cabinet. I have been trying out all those recipes that are scribbled on pieces of paper, or torn from magazines, so I can decide ifthey are keepers or not. So far I've found a lot of keepers, and will work at posting them on here. I'm passionate about a lot of things, mainly my kids, animals, and cooking. I won't even start on my peeves, we'll be here all night! lol
