Quick Cheat for Chili's Sweet Honey Mustard Dipping Sauce

"My family absolutely loves Chili's and their honey mustard sauce. So a while back i searched the interent for a copycat recipe which I found but did my own tweaking to. The problem with most store bought honey mustard is they're usually just too mustardy....this just makes it better! And it's so supper easy to tweak to your own taste. It's more of a by taste recipe then a by the measurement one. Doubles easily."

  1. Yummy. Great dipping sauce for chicken. Made for PAC Spring 10

  2. This is good - I have never had the mustard at Chilis - but this is very close to Applebees honey mustard dipping sauce. I added a squirt of dijon mustard, only because when I added the honey I was lazy and did not measure it. I added too much, which made it too sweet, so a little dijon fixed it! (My own fault!)

  3. Terrific! I didn't have honey mustard so subbed whole grain dijon and doubled the honey. For PAC.

  4. * * * MADE FOR FALL 2008 PAC * * * This sauce was good. When I was making it, I was a little skeptical on how it would turn out. I made it in advance so the flavors could blend. And that was the trick. It also depends on the brand of honey mustard you use in this. It was great with recipe #295980. I made this exactly as recipe was posted, I wouldn't change a thing.

I'm a stay at home wife and mom who has just fallen in love with cooking. I was scared when I first got married that it was going to be the typical first year of burnt food but strangely enough, I've got a knack for it. It's my husbands joke that after he got married, he lost weight and coworkers asked if my cooking was that bad...he'd tell them no, she just actually cooks without adding a pound of grease to everything like my grandmother!
