"Ketchup and Carrots? Sounds terrible but it actually makes an elegant dish. Adapted from the Anderson House in Minnesota. Edited recipe to add more carrots."

• Ingredients: 4
• Serves: 12

ingredients

• 1 cup ketchup
• 1 cup butter, melted
• 1 cup honey
• 3 lbs baby carrots

directions

1. Split each carrot down the middle, then in fourths.
2. Blend the ketchup, butter and honey with a whisk or in the blender.
3. Steam the carrots to desired crispness.
4. Add the sauce to the steamed carrots and cook a few minutes longer.

Great! Easy and different way to prepare carrots. We played "guess the magic ingredient" at dinner which got all three boys eating them. Everyone was shocked that they contained ketchup. Made a very generous amount of sauce even with 3 lbs. carrots. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Such a simple way to make carrots amazing. The sweetness of the honey is perfect for the carrots. Loved them! DH really liked them too. I used the last of the orange and white carrots from our garden. I only used 1 lb of carrots so cut the sauce by a third also. Terrific!

I changed this to three servings and it adjusted nicely. I actually the heated the sauce ingredients on low while the carrots simmered since my butter was solid. Worked like a champ! Thanks Cookiedog! Beverage Tag Rocks!
