  • Cut beef into 6 pieces. Place each piece between two sheets of plastic wrap. Pound with meat mallet or rolling pin until 1/8" thick. Coat with flour.
  • Heat oil in 12" skillet. Add beef and cook 10 minute or until browned and done. Remove and keep warm.
  • Add gravy to skillet, stirring to loosen browned bits. Heat through. Serve over steak with mashed potatoes.

  1. Thanks for a chicken fried steak recipe that DOES NOT use cube steak -- Woohoo! This was easy to make and turned out very good. Oh, I almost forgot to add that I did not used canned gravy, but did use recipe #193916.
