"These are like tiny fruitcakes all wrapped up in a cute little cookie. They taste good and are very pretty on the cookie tray at Christmas."

• Yields: 5 dozen

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1 cup sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1⁄4 cup sour cream
• 1 1⁄4 cups flour
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon clove
• 1 cup quick-cooking oatmeal
• 1 cup chopped walnuts
• 1 cup finely chopped dates
• 1⁄2 cup raisins
• 1⁄2 cup chopped candied cherry (red or and or green)
• 30 halved candied cherries

directions

1. Cream butter and sugar; add eggs and beat till fluffy.
2. Stir in sour cream.
3. Add the flour, soda, cinnamon, salt, and cloves.
4. Mix in the oats nuts, dates, raisins, and cherries.
5. Drop from a teaspoon onto a lightly greased sheet about 2" apart.
6. Top each cookie with a halved cherry.
7. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
