  • Dissolve yeats in warm water.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar in large bowl.
  • Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Add buttermilk and yeast mixture.
  • Knead.
  • Roll 1/2" think.
  • Cut into biscuits.
  • Bake on greased cookie sheet for 15 minutes at 400 degrees.
