"Better known as my sister in laws thanksgiving pumpkin bars. I tried these last year at my Martha Stewart sister in laws thanksgiving day brunch. They are to die for! I couldnt stop eating them. She said this is a spin off from a cookie recipe so its all approximate."

directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Combine first four ingredients in bowl.
  • In seperate bowl beat together butter, sugar, and brown sugar; until creamy.
  • Mix in pumpkin, egg, and vanilla; until blended.
  • Gradually beat in flour mixture, then ad nuts and mix well.
  • Spread mixture into buttered baking dish.
  • Bake at 350 degrees until center sets. About 30 minutes.
  • Drizzle with melted chocolate and let cool.
  • I like to melt my chocolate in a glass in boiling water (stiring frequently) It also works well if you melt it in a zip lock bag in the micro-wave, kneading every 30 seconds after the first minute. Then you just cut the corner off the bag and squeeze it out.

Hi my name is Shree. I love cooking although sometimes I get stressed instead of enjoying it. I have been collecting cookbooks and recipes that Id like to try for most of my life. I even started writing a cookbook one time. I never finished it though LOL! I still collect recipes and I like to try my own twist on most of them. I guess Im famous for my deserts, but I like cooking all kinds of dishes. I like to find things at a restaurant that I can recreate at home with similar ingredients.
