Whipped Cream-Like Frosting

"A wonderful, fluffy white frosting similar to whipped cream. It's great on Red Velvet cakes or any chocolate cake. I sometimes use it to fill in between the layers, and use another frosting on the outside."

  1. I hate most icings, and I love whipping cream on my cakes. I remembered some sort of whipping cream icing, and this definitely wasn’t it. My friend and I are purely disgusted and I don’t recommend it. Tastes funny and unnaturally gross.

  2. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this frosting!!! I'm not a buttercream frosting fan, and this is exactly the type of thing I have been looking for!!!

  3. Delicious frosting! Very fluffy, and it stays soft and its not overly sweet. I have used this twice now, and it is replacing the old buttercreme recipe I've used for years.

  4. I love the flavor and the texture of this. I wound up adding another half teaspoon of vanilla so that it would be a bit more obvious.

Enjoy baking and collecting recipes as well as counted cross stitch, scrapbooking and quilting. I usually have two or three different projects going simultaneously. Fell in love with baking when my paternal grandmother let my 4-year old self help her make peanut butter cookies. Finally began baking on my own at age nine. I've always loved cakes, so my first project was Chocolate Mayo Cake. Through the years I've progressed enough to bake a few wedding cakes. But cookies are my passion.
