WOW!!! This was excellent. I had family over for lunch before a big football game and I served this to get us warmed up before we went out in the cold weather for the game. It had great flavor, and was really easy to make. I've been looking for a good wassail recipe, and I think I've found the one!!!

I had a cookie exchange party for Christmas and served 5 different traditional beverages. This one was the winner, hands down. I made it in a crock pot, and let it simmer all day. I had to make 6 batches of it, it was so popular! The house smelled lovely, and it felt like we were all a part of a Norman Rockwell moment. I am making it again this year - for 5 different parties, and I can't wait. Thanks for the great recipe!

I cook for fun (mostly because I don't have to cook every day) and am always on the lookout for interesting recipes. I also do some canning. Hobbies include jewelry making, drawing, and reading. I detest housework - but it gets done - eventually. I also detest car maintenance - that gets done immediately.
