- 4 cups flour
- 4 large eggs
- 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 quart milk
directions
- Mix all ingredients together by hand or mixer.
- Coat bread slices and fry in pan as you would for regular French toast.
- Serve with syrup, jam, honey or molasses.
- Leftover slices can be placed on cookie sheet, frozen and put in freezer container or bag.
