  1. I love your cooking

  2. I am trapped in my house after a snowstorm and had all of the ingredients. I like chocolate so I did tweak it and it's in the oven!

  3. Now, I can't say much on this recipe as I have not tried it yet. My mom got the recipe for the ugly from a friend of her who too did a potluck at work. She tried it out and we LOVE LOVE LOVED it! This instantly became my absolute favorite cake in this world!!! Now for Thanksgiving I was promised it, but she made the honey bun cake, which, by the way, is almost just as good when it's cook right with the gooey cinamin roll like center (DELICIOUS!!!). Then, again, for Christmas I was promised it and I got NO desserts!!! So, I have a humongerous craving for this cake, but she's in bed and the recipe isn't in it's usual place...I'm pretty sure this is it...not sure if it's exact, but close enough I'm sure. I'm just surprised to death that I found it at all! At first all I could find was pictures of cakes that turned out ugly...anyways...I'm off to try the new recipe!!! Hope it turns out "as good as mama used to make" LOL! But I recommend the cake to EVERYONE IT'S THE BEST CAKE EVER!!! Well, believe it or not it's a quarter after one in the a.m. and I've got to hurry and make this cake so I can hit the hay. Good night all!!! :D

  4. Someone made this at a work potluck and we all asked her for the recipe. I have made it several times since and everyone loves it- even my DH that only likes chocolate desserts! It is very sweet, so a little peice is usually enough.

  5. This was just ok for me. It was soooooooooo sweet with the pound of powdered sugar. Lots of people like stuff really sweet like that, but my stomach can't handle it. Super easy recipe though.

Tweaks

  1. I used a fudge chocolate cake mix, cut the powered sugar to about 3/4 of a pound, 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips and 1 tsp vanilla. I added the chocolate chips to the cake mix mixture. Added the vanilla to the cream cheese mixture. It's in the oven now and smells awesome! (I licked the beaters.....really good!)
