Two Cheese Vegetable Sub

- 2 teaspoons butter or 2 teaspoons margarine, softened
- 1 (6 inch) submarine rolls, split in half
- 1⁄2 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 2 green pepper rings
- 1 slice sargento deli style sliced provolone cheese
- 6 mild banana pepper rings or 6 red bell pepper rings
- 1 slice sargento deli style sliced colby cheese
- 1 thin slice onion, separated into rings
- 1⁄4 cup alfalfa sprout
- 2 thin slices tomatoes
directions
- Spread butter on each roll half. Sprinkle Italian
- seasoning over each. On bottom half, layer the following: bell pepper rings, Provolone cheese, banana pepper rings, Colby cheese, onion rings, alfalfa sprouts and tomato slices. Cover with top half of roll. Wrap tightly in foil.
- Bake in preheated 350°F oven 15 minutes or until heated through.

Cooking is my passion, and I am slowly, but surely beginning to venture into the world of baking. To me, cooking is so much easier because baking is so much more exact.
I love to make Italian and Mexican food the best, followed by Chinese and last, but by far the least, good old American food! How can you beat chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy?? I love to find several recipes and put my own spin on them and create a new recipe.
