Turkey Gorgonzola Burgers

- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 3 ounces gorgonzola cheese, chopped
- 1⁄2 cup sun-dried tomato, drained and chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 6 100% whole-grain buns
- 6 tablespoons barbecue sauce
- shredded cabbage (optional)
directions
- Preheat grill to medium. Combine first five ingredients and salt and pepper to taste in a bowl. Lightly mix together and form into 6 patties. Brush them with oil.
- Grill burgers for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until internal temp is 165°F. Toast buns for 2 minutes. Serve burgers on buns; garnish with barbecue sauce and cabbage, if desired.

I was raised on southern cooking, but over the past few years, I have been looking for more healthy ways to eat. As a result, some of my recipes are healthy and some aren't.

<br>I am usually just cooking for myself, so I am especially interested in recipes that can be made for single servings or easily refrigerated/frozen for later.

<br>I am a teacher, and on weekends I try to make something that I can take for lunch the following week (something that won't be boring by Friday!) so that I can just grab it and go each weekday morning.
