  • Proof yeast - yeast in 1/4 cup Luke warm water & teaspoon of sugar.
  • add flours, vital, salt, honey, seeds, raisins, nuts, olive oil into bread maker.
  • add proofed yeast.
  • water.
  • use 2lb loaf setting.
  • Select whole wheat bread setting.
  • start bread machine.
  • after kneading for a bit, verify enough liquid. If not add tablespoon or two of lukewarm water.

  1. 1. Try 1 1/2 lb loaf setting. Use ‘Brown Bread’ menus choice. 2. Substitute 1 cup of white flour for 1 of whole wheat. => 1 1/2 cup Whole Wheat, 1 cup white, 1 cup rye flour.

Live in East Texas. Love to BBQ & host friends. Traveled the world a lot when I worked, love ethnic foods.  Diabetic, no carb diet, keeping my A1C normal.  But, you won’t find many baked goods since diagnosis.
