I fixed this lasagna for my family and we all agreed it was the best lasagna we had ever eaten!! I did not know for sure when I saw it was a tomato paste base, this tends to make sauces to sweet for our liking. Not so with this recipe! All the ingredients combined work well together. If you have not tried it please do!! I will never use any other recipe for lasagna again!! Thank you Trisha, we love you and Garth!! Love being invited into your life and learning new recipes from your home to ours!!

I have cooked this twice and both times was for a large group. It was loved by all!!! The only thing I did different was to use 1/2 of the amount of pepperonis the second time around and it was just a good but much less salty. Oh, and I used cottage instead of ricotta simply because we love cottage cheese in our lasagna.

I have made this several times. Each time it was loved, but I made slight changes each time. I have made it with fire roasted diced tomatoes, different cheeses, provolone, italian blend, cottage cheese mixed with ricotta. I have also used italian sausage when I couldn't find sage.. amazing difference and liked better by most. I live alone and have to make 2 pans when I cook this. lol
