ingredients

  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 3 (1 1/4 ounce) envelopes taco seasoning
  • 3 heads lettuce, shredded
  • 3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 2 cups chopped onions
  • 3 (4 1/4 ounce) cans olives, drained (sliced or chopped)
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans beans, drained (ranch or chili)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package corn chips
  • 1 (16 ounce) bottle Catalina dressing
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar salsa

directions

  • Brown beef; drain.
  • Add taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions.
  • Cool. Toss with remaining ingredients in a large plastic bag or container.

  1. I've been looking for this recipe, a friend made it for us years ago and just called it "Trash". I have been making it with a few changes and the Grandkids LOVE it, they love saying that they had "trash" for dinner at Mimi's house!! Thanks for posting.

<p>I was born and raised in Connecticut. I love the New England area, I think it is so pretty with the change of the seasons. <br /><br />I work for an ambulance company in their wheelchair division for non-emergency transportation. I work in the billing and customer service office. I love my job, the duties are so varied that you are always working on something different....no time for boredom. <br /><br />I am a mother to four, two sons and two daughters. <br />All have left the roost to start there own family. At last count, I was a granny to 6 boys and 2 little girls. <br /><br />I love Recipezaar and all the new daily postings. I see so much I want to try and continue to save them. I just don't have all the time to make all these recipes. I lost my husband in July 2006 and I am not the spring chicken anymore...pretty tired when I get home from work...so it's all quick, quick, quick, for me. <br /><br />I have tried a few....and have been pleased with my results and the new taste sensations. I am trying to initiate a goal of trying at least two new recipes a week.
