Tomato Orange Soup

"This recipe comes from a little book called ABC Jiffy Cookery. I've had it for over 50 years. I haven't cooked any of the recipe yet. I'm putting them on here so I can find them easier."

• Yields: 8 cups soup
• Serves: 8

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup onion, finely chopped
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
• 6 cups tomato juice
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup orange juice
• 1 lemon, thinly sliced

directions

1. Cook onion in butter until tender. Add tomato juice and salt; bring to a boil. Add orange juice and heat to serving temperature. Serve, garnished with slice of lemon.
