  1. My DS just 'liked' this not 'loved' it and said don't make this again-"Sorry Mom". My DS loves every ingredient (I even added the ketchup like another poster recommended) though he didn't like his fingers getting greasy from the oleo, nor did he care for cheese. How dare I try to improve on his plain old hotdog! Thank You anyway-I just get tired of the same boring hotdog in a bun-though he doesn't...

  2. I made one of these for my 4 yr old son tonight for dinner. I used a Hebrew National low fat all beef hotdog to help make it a LITTLE healthier (lol). At first he looked at it and said he didn't want that. I talked him into trying it and he ate the whole thing! This is fast and kid friendly.

  3. Wow, I'm another one that this recipe brings back a huge flood of memories for. This is one of the recipes I learned in my very first cooking class way back in 2nd grade or so. It's fun, easy, and turns out really yummy. Perfect for kids, thank you for posting, and thanks for the memories. :)

  4. Ginny, I'm not going to give this stars because I can't eat hotdogs anymore (any kind-turkey, chicken, pork, or beef), but when I was a kid, I ate them straight out of the package or just like this. It was something my mom taught me to do while she was at work that was quick. We didn't butter the bread, but I 'magine that'd just make it better. Before hotdogs were a no-no, I'd roast or fry them a bit to get a different flavor. I just wanted to say thanks for bringing back a flood of memories.
