- 2 3⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fine salt
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temp
- 1 1⁄2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3⁄4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 3⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt Into medium bowl.
- In a seperate large bowl, beat together shortening and butter.
- Add sugars to shortening mix, and continue beating until fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add eggs, vanilla, and cinnamon to shortening mix, continue to beat until well mixed.
- Add dry ingredients into shortening and mix until smooth.
- Mix chips in with dough until well dispersed
- Use a Tablespoon to drop dough onto a cookie sheet.
- Let bake for 14-18 minutes or until light golden brown on top (cooking time depends on size of cookies).
