Susan's Easy Chicken

"I don't know Susan but I like the way her chicken sounds with OJ, soy sauce, ketchup, honey, basil, you get the idea. From a community cookbook. Just mix up the sauce and pour it on chicken pieces and bake. I don't want to lose this since it utilizes ingredients I keep on hand."

 1. I found this recipe to be really quite easy to prepare, very tasty, tender, and moist. It makes a excellent weekday dish. The only thing that I might change is the amount of soy form !/4 to 1/8 cup.
Thanks Oolala for a real keeper.

 2. I made this chicken and no one liked it.

 3. Very easy recipe. The chicken was tender and so juicy! The ingredients so basic and on hand! I loved it and so did my guests. I served with green beans and rice pilaf.

 4. DH said, "That chicken is FANTASTIC!" Mixed up quick as a snap with legs, thighs & wings off a 5 lb fryer - there are NO leftovers - that's with 2 eating dinner! Followed ingredients & directions as written w/o changes. Thank you Oolala, this one is a keeper, esp. when I have a few slightly aging end-of-season oranges!

 5. Easy and very tasty recipe. I used Perdue's Sample Pack, which is all dark meat, without changing the recipe. Chicken was aromatic and browned to perfection. Thanks Susan. Judith Washington DC

I've collected recipes since I was a teen. After all these years I'm trying to get all my index cards and clippings, that still sound interesting to me, posted here so that I can find them and eventually make them!

I've posted some of my Mom's recipes. I regret not having paid more attention to my Grandmothers' cooking. They made some dishes that I miss and there were/are no recipes for them.

I have a wonderful DH and 2 wonderful sons. They are thrilled that I found this site since they directly benefit from it! Before finding 'Zaar, I was less of a cook and more of a recipe collector but now I try many more things and we're having more fun in the kitchen (at least I am)!

Thanks for all your ratings, comments and help in the forums AND for posting so many great recipes. You've enhanced my cooking skills and expanded my horizons! I've learned so much.

For fun, I also like to read fiction, travel, see movies and shows, shop (and I love to browse thrift shops and rummage/garage sales for cookbooks, etc.).

The discovery of a new dish does more for the happiness of mankind than the discovery of a new star Brillat-Savarin
