ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 12 prawns, peeled, deviened
- 3⁄4 - 1 lb sirloin, cut into cubes

- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1⁄2 lemon, zest of, finely grated
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
directions
- Soak 4 bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes.
- Combine 1rst 5 ingredients -- marinate prawns and beef cubes in sauce -- add salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat bbq to medium high.
- Thread 4 pieces steak and 3 prawns alternately onto skewers.
- BBQ 5-10 minutes till steak is done and prawns are just cooked.
- Place butter and garlic into pan -- saute 2-3 minutes. add parsley, lemon juice, and zest. simmer 1-2 minutes.
- Serve with kebabs!

These were great and I'm sure Paul Hogan would love to chuck a few on the BBQ! I only used around 1/8 cup of olive oil, 1/4 cup seemed a bit much and it helped concentrate the rest of the flavours. I prepared the great tasting sauce in advance, popped into the fridge and microwaved for 20 seconds before serving.

I'm having a little trouble with reviews staying on recipes. This was originally prepared for Comfort Cafe Summer Beach Bash Jul 2009. I had to special order the prawns, as they are not available in our immediate area. This was so simple to make, but made a gorgeous presentation. Luckily, I have enough prawns in the freezer to have these again, and I definitely will. Thnx for sharing your recipe, kimbearly.
