- 4 ounces rum (aged rum such as Cruzan Single Barrel Estate)
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1⁄2 ounce simple syrup
- 1⁄2 ounce grenadine
- 2 egg whites
- maraschino cherry, for garnish

Grenadine
- 1 1⁄2 cups pomegrante juice
- 3⁄4 cup pure unbleached cane sugar
directions
- For Grenadine: Bring juice and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer to thicken slightly. let cool. Grendine will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 month.
- For Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine rum, juice, simple syrup,grenadine, and egg whites; shake well. Strain into 2 chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish each with a cherry.
