  • 4 ounces rum (aged rum such as Cruzan Single Barrel Estate)
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • 12 ounce simple syrup
  • 12 ounce grenadine
  • 2 egg whites
  • maraschino cherry, for garnish
  • Grenadine

  • 1 12 cups pomegrante juice
  • 34 cup pure unbleached cane sugar

  • For Grenadine: Bring juice and sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer to thicken slightly. let cool. Grendine will keep, covered and refrigerated, for up to 1 month.
  • For Cocktail: In a cocktail shaker, combine rum, juice, simple syrup,grenadine, and egg whites; shake well. Strain into 2 chilled cocktail glasses. Garnish each with a cherry.
