"I was looking for something sugar free to have with cream cheese on a low carb slice of bread. I wanted something with fiber and spices. This is what I came up with."

  • Place pears in pan with no added liquid.
  • Cook until soft.
  • Mash.
  • Put thru a ricer or sieve and discard seeds and skin.
  • Add spices and lemon juice and return to stove.
  • Cook until no liquid runs off when a small amount is placed on a dish. Remove from heat.
  • Add vanilla and splenda.
  • Can or place in a container and refrigerate.

  1. Your nutrition information seems to be very messed up. It makes 2 to 3 pints but then you say it makes one serving, which has 114.8 grams of carbs??? Also, when printing, the nutrition info box appears right in the middle of the directions. Formatting error?
