  • Cut potatoes roughly and add to boiling water.
  • Add salt.
  • When potatoes are soft, drain the water and mash.
  • Add the roughly chopped onions and all the corn beef and mash all ingredients together.
  • return to low heat stirring continuously.
  • After 10 minutes it should be ready.
  • SOME SHOULD HAVE BURNT TO THE POT (THE BEST BIT) BUT MAKES WASHING THE POT A PAIN!!!

  1. Great recipe. Didn't change a thing. Delicious. To clean any pan with food stuck to it, put hot water in it with dishwasher detergent(not regular dish soap), let it soak for a while. Comes clean as a whistle without scrubbing.
     
  2. I am not a big fan of corned beef, but I made this for my BH, and HAD to try just a little bit. Well, turned out to be a BIG bit!(I LOVED the burnt stuff!!) Very, very tasty. Didn't have too much trouble with the pan, I just let it soak in hot dishwater for a while, then everything washed right off. Thank you! ~Manda

  4. Haven't tried it yet but when I was wee, my mum used leftover brisket but basically you can use any leftover meat. I have had it with corned beef too. Will try this recipe and rate it then. Thanks.
