ingredients
- 2 1⁄4 cups water
- 1⁄4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup butter
- 1⁄3 cup yellow mustard
- 2 onions (chopped)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1⁄2 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 1⁄2 cups ketchup
- 6 -8 tablespoons lemon juice
- cayenne (to taste)
directions
- combine water, vineger, sugar, butter,mustard, onion, saltand pepper.
- bring to a boil.
- reduce heat.
- simmer 20 minutes.
- add worcestershire sauce, ketchup, lemon juice and cayenne.
- simmer 45 minutes.
- will store in fridge up to 3 weeks.

I love BBQ sauce and this one is FAB! I got the yellow mustard esp for it. I used slightly less butter as was making for my family and my mum is on a diet! Anything with w.sauce has my vote cos its so loved here...The recipe makes a lot, considering there were only three of us to feed but I made it all so I can use it this week with other things. Served tonight with good ol' british sausages and mash and it went down very well, will make hamburgers later in the week when the weather is supposed to get better and I'm sure it'll be great, if not better as the flavours will have blended even more! So glad I tried it, have saved it and thank you for posting!
