Snowdrop Cookies

"Powder sugary doughiness that has been a favorite at Christmas. It is a really good ofset to church windows or other chocolate-based desserts."

• Ingredients: 6
• Yields: 3-4 dozen

ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup butter
• 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄2 cup nuts (optional)

directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Sift flour and salt together.
3. With a mixer beat butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until light and fluffy.
4. Work in dry ingredients gradually.
5. Once thoroughly mixed, roll into 1 inch balls and place 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheets.
6. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
7. Let cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
