Sausage & Mushroom Sandwiches, Vintage? Retro?

"Not your usual Italian sausage sandwich. No peppers or tomato here! Good as an appetizer too. Or a snack for the football game. Oh, I suppose one could add some sauteed red/green pepper chunks and/or fresh tomato chunks but then there goes the unique quality of this recipe. This was a Prodigy recipe, back in its heyday."

  1. We have never had sausage subs without bell peppers. We were a little leery but pleasantly surprised. I didn't give the recipe 5 stars because we felt it needed some Italian Herb seasoning and some melted cheese. We will make it again, but will tweak it with those two items. Thank you for sharing, Jezski.
