- 1⁄2 cup onion, chopped
- 1⁄4 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 quart sauerkraut
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon caraway seed
- 1 potato, grated
- 1 cup water
directions
- Saute onion in oil or bacon grease.
- Add flour.
- Add sauerkraut, sugar, caraway seeds, grated potato, and water.
- Cook for 30 minutes on low. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
