Rum-Nut Pudding Cake

"A tasty rum cake made extra moist because of the pudding. This isn't my recipe but one from an old magazine. My mom has had it for years."

  • Sprinkle nuts evenly in bottom of greased and floured 10-inch tube or fluted tube pan.
  • Combine cake mix, eggs, 1/2 cup water, the oil, and 1/3 cup rum in large mixing bowl.
  • Beat at low speed in electric mixer just to moisten, scraping sides of bowl often. Beat at medium speed for 4 minutes.
  • Pour into pan.
  • Bake at 325 degrees for about 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
