Roasted Broccoli

"If you are roasting a chicken or other meat in the oven, save 1/4 cup of the fat drippings, and use to coat the broccoli instead of the olive oil. The variations on this are endless - include tiny baby carrots and cauliflower if desired."

Great, easy recipe. I added a red pepper sliced into strips - delish! And used powdered garlic to shave off more time. It took approx 12 minutes to roast to crisp-tender. Hubby and 2 year old DD loved it. Thanks!

I used sesame oil and toasted some sesame seeds to sprinkle onto was a big hit!

Very good - I had a red pepper I needed to use so I cut that up in big pieces and cooked it with the broccoli. I roasted the veggies for about 15 minutes. Came out perfect! I've never had broccoli roasted - we eat alot of broccoli and I usually just steam it - we'll be making this one often. Thanks for posting!

Wow! I used one of those bags of prechopped veggies (broccoli, cauliflower and carrots), chopped them into smaller pieces, tossed them with some olive oil, sea salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and popped them in the toaster oven. All it took was about 12 minutes on 450 degrees, and we had perfectly roasted veggies.

This was my first experience in roasting veggies. I've wanted to get away from steaming a bit as I was bored and so this was perfect. It tasted similar to chinese food. Great combo of just garlic and olive oil. Going to make this again and soon~ Thanks for sharing!!
