Quick Chili Sauce

"In Ontario on the farm my family always made there own chili sauce , but when I first came to Newfoundland it was hard to get tomatoes, now its not but sometimes I,ll still make this quick and easy chili."

  • Mix all together and simmer 2 hours.
  • Be careful and stir and if need be add a little water so as not to burn.

  1. I did put a little hot pepper in it, and used the immersion blender when it was done, but, when desperate for chili sauce, and none is available, this is a good substitute. I used it to make cocktail meatballs with grape jelly when it was done. Very economical!
