ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 cup real maple syrup
- 1 egg
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- walnuts
directions
- Note: Only use REAL maple syrup for this recipe. It is a tad more expensive, but the flavor is more pronounced and delicious. These cookies will NOT turn out if maple-flavored corn syrup is used in its place.
- Combine the flour and baking soda in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients and mix well until smooth and creamy. Slowly add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing well as you go.
- When finished, dollop the dough onto a oiled cookie sheet, placing approximately 1 inch apart. Top with the walnuts and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes, until cookies are golden brown.
- Serve and enjoy!

While I've been sharing my love of food for many years, I didn't start blogging about food until 2011. Since establishing my website, www.lizzdelicious.com, I have published four e-books full of easy-to-make, flavorful, and truly delicious vegan food.
