This is an OMG chowder!! My husband was not feeling well and I wanted to make some "comfort" soup. This was it! I used 3 slices of turkey bacon, sharp, shredded cheddar cheese, left out the sage and added 1 tsp Spike seasoning. I used fat-free evaporated milk and pre-shredded carrots, one huge baking potato and water and boullion (chicken). This is a creamy, just thick enough chowder and I wouldn't add any other ingredients. Thanks so much for a "doer again" recipe. Carole in Orlando
