- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1⁄4 cup white vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup granulated sugar
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt (to taste)
- 1⁄4 cup maraschino cherry juice
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
directions
- In a sauce pan, over medium heat, combine pineapple juice, white vinegar, sugar and salt. Bring to a gentle boil. Combine the cherry juice and cornstarch to make a slurry. Add the slurry into the gently boiling pineapple juice mixture. Lower the heat and stir until desired thickness. (More cornstarch may be used if a thicker sauce is desired.).
