DIRECTIONS

  • Allow ice cream to stand at room temperature to soften.
  • With rubber scraper, swirl liqueur into it just enough to make streaks; do not overmix.
  • Turn into 3 or 4 ice cube trays and freeze until firm - approximately 4 hours.
  • To serve: drain pear halves; arrange on glass serving dish, mound a scoop of ice cream in center of each pear and pour syrup over top.
  • Of course you can also do it in individual dessert dishes.
