ingredients
- 1 1⁄4 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- 1⁄2 cup plus 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup m & m's candy
directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line baking sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
- In a medium bowl, sift flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat butter and peanut butter until combined. Add brown sugar and white sugar; beat until combined. Add egg and vanilla extract and mix well. Slowly add the dry ingredients and mix until no white streaks remain. Stir in m & m's candies.
- Drop Tablespoonfuls of dough 2-inches apart onto prepared baking sheets. (I like to press a few extra m & m's candies onto the tops of each dough ball.)
- Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly browned and the center has set, rotating pans halfway during baking time.
- Remove pans from oven to wire racks. Cool for 2 minutes before sliding parchment paper to wire racks to cool.
