- 125 g unsalted butter
- 125 g caster sugar
- 125 g plain flour, sifted
- 100 g rolled oats
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 teaspoon golden syrup
directions
- Heat the oven to 150 C (300F ), gas mark 2
- Cream butter and sugar together, then add the milk, soda and syrup.
- Stir in the flour and oats and mix well.
- Roll the dough into 24 small balls and place evenly apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
- Bake for 25 mins until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack.
