  • Heat the oven to 150 C (300F ), gas mark 2
  • Cream butter and sugar together, then add the milk, soda and syrup.
  • Stir in the flour and oats and mix well.
  • Roll the dough into 24 small balls and place evenly apart on lightly greased baking sheets.
  • Bake for 25 mins until golden brown.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
