  • Heat oven to 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6.
  • Scrub the baking potatoes, then pat dry. Slice lengthways into three. Drizzle olive oil over a large baking sheet.
  • Place the potatoes on the baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, rub all over, then generously sprinkle with sea salt.
  • Bake for 40-45 minutes (longer for extra crispiness) turning halfway, until golden brown and tender.

  1. I can't fairly give this recipe any stars because I messed it up. I didn't think 1 tsp. of salt looked like enough, so I added a bit more...and my potatoes came out too salty! The salt kind of dissolved in the olive oil, so it was easy to add too much! I am willing to try this again though - following the recipe this time! - and I can say that the potatoes were tender and smelled wonderful cooking.

How I rate... 5 stars - perfect, will make again without any changes. 4 stars - Liked it, will make again again but with changes. 3 stars - had to make major changes but got it to work. 2 stars - had to make major changes and it didn't work. 1 star - went terribly, a waste of time and ingredients, I cried, BF cried the cats cried you get the picture...
